Camp Caraway for Boys
Welcome to Camp Caraway! Camp Caraway is a summer camp for boys, sponsored by North Carolina Baptists on Mission, and is accredited by the American Camp Association. All boys are welcome and do not have to be active in a particular church to attend. Our camp is located in the beautiful Uwharrie Mountains, seven miles west of Asheboro, North Carolina. Since 1963 more than 65,000 boys have been challenged toward strengthening their Christian walk at Caraway. We'd love to have your son or group of boys join us!
Camp Caraway bases its program on the Christian idea that each boy is a person of worth, created in the image of God. Each boy is important and each has something unique and significant to contribute to the camp. This idea is applied to every activity and to every aspect of the camp program. The key to North Carolina's future lies with the campers of today. Our goal is to instill within each camper the desire to be all that God created him to be. We hope to see you at Camp Caraway this summer!
Week Long Camp
Week long camp is for boys and young men who are ages 9-17 or who have completed 3rd grade. Campers arrive on Monday at 10 am and depart after lunch on Friday.

The young men of Northwoods includes ages 14-17 who camp in Caraway's three walled Adirondack cabins. Falling asleep with a campfire crackling nearby is normal in this rustic campsite. Campers have the option to hang out in a hammock or sleep in the cabin. This unit is designed to reach high school students by providing exciting recreation and encourage them to get out of their comfort zones. Recreation may include: high ropes challenge course, climbing tower, zip line, paintball, the blob, water slides, swimming in the lake, dunking in the pool, pellet rifles, archery with compound bows, camping, cooking over fires, hiking, group games, team building, and more.
This exciting camp is for any adult father, grandfather or male mentor to bring up to three boys who have completed kindergarten through 6th grade. One night camps are available in the spring, summer, and fall. We will give you some free time to spend with your boys along with organized fun recreation and programming. These camps include challenging Christian speakers, worship, skits, and recreation. Keep in mind that due to the nature of the father/son camp schedule campers will not be able to do all of the advertised recreation. Father/son camps make a great birthday gift for a dad or a son.
Camp Angel Tree
Camp Angel Tree is for boys ages 9-14 who have a parent in prison. Campers arrive Sunday afternoon and depart Wednesday morning. This camp is designed to introduce boys to a relationship with Jesus Christ in a fun, safe environment.
Angel Tree campers only pay a small registration fee to hold their spot. The rest of their camp fee is scholarshipped through kind donations from individuals and churches. Transportation to and from camp is also provided by local volunteers all over our state. If you are interested in donating or volunteering to support Camp Angel Tree, please contact Kecia Morgan at 1-800-395-5102 ext. 5613 or firstname.lastname@example.org
