2014 Donna Pittman Christmas Toy Store

Dear Christian Friends & Families
I would like to take the opportunity to tell you how good God is. The 2014 Donna Pittman Christmas Toy Store served 83 families and 238 children this year. We had 6 people to accept the Lord and 2 people to rededicate. I know God and Donna are smiling with us. We had 30 bikes and 10 small riding toys as well as a lot of wonderful toys and items for all our children. We were blessed with 100+ volunteers, plenty of snacks and fellowship. We were pleased to add some new counselors this year. Each year it gets bigger and better with more blessings from God! I also would like to thank Family Video of Monroe for supplying 20 hams to my families of the Toy Store. God has blessed me in so many ways thru the Toy Store. I feel that I can give back some of His Christian love.
Thank you all for the opportunity.
God Bless each and every one of you.

Teresa Polk received a hand written thank you note from one of the participants from the 2014 Donna Pittman Christmas Toy Store.  She wanted this to be posted so that everyone could read it and see how appreciative this family was.  It is very hard to ready the handwritten note so I have typed it and placed it below the handwritten note.

I was granted permission to attend your Christmas Toy Store this past year and I am still overwhelmed by all the love and care from Rev. Joe Blocker and the gifts I was able to choose for my almost 4-year-old daughter.
There is not nearly enough room on the Thank You card to list every item and how much Libby loves it, but there was so much given I had to put items back for her birthday on January 20.
I will name a few of her favorites: the Huffy Coaster bicycle will grow with her for the next couple of years and I am hoping she will care for the collector edition “Victorian” Lady Barbie so as to pass it on to her daughter one day. The metal cookware set complimented her wooden full size little girl kitchen that was donated to her last week and now she’s really “cooking up a storm”.
As for the time I spent talking with Rev. Joe Blocker and his wife nothing tops that! They were so kind, so caring, so sincere and I felt the presence of God when they prayed for me, my family and my incarcerated husband.
I was and still am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from this Toy Store Ministry. You all will never be forgotten! Thank you for loving us for who we are and where we are.
