Wingate Baptist Church in Wingate, NC is seeking two part time positions as Children’s Ministry Coordinator and an Adult Ministry Coordinator.
The Children’s Ministry Coordinator supervises and coordinates opportunities for children to grow in their Christian faith, enabling them to become lifelong learners and followers of Christ. This person is an advocate for children and children’s programs (infants through sixth grade).
The successful candidate will have a passion for children’s Christian development and learning.
The Adult Ministry Coordinator supervises and coordinates opportunities for adults to grow in their Christian faith and to engage in community-building fellowship. This person is an advocate for adults and adult programs (post high school through senior adults). The successful candidate will have a passion for designing, organizing, implementing, and promoting adult programming that is ecumenical in nature, community-wide in scope, and is directed to the educational and/or spiritual needs of adults.
Both part time positions will report to the Pastor. The positions will have flexible hours of 10 to 12 hours per week.

Ed Vaughn is the guy that the phrase "can talk the ears off a mule" was written about! He and his family live in the New Salem Community. They are members of Euto Baptist Church and Ed has been active with the Christian Cooking Convoy and helped with many fund raising events for others. Now it is our turn to help Ed and Kim. They have two daughters, Emily, age 16 & a rising junior at Piedmont and Abi, age 5, who starts kindergarten at New Salem Elementary. He was diagnosed with Stage IV Melanoma after having a seizureat work on April 16th. He has been in the hospital for a couple of major surgeries to remove malignancies, finished a round of radiation treatments in June & hasn't been able to return to work. Emily also has had some health issues and had to have neck surgery June 28th to relieve severe headaches.
Ed & Kim and their girls take things "one day at a time!" He has a great outlook! He loves & appreciates all his family and friends. Please continue to pray for Ed, Kim, Emily & Abi (as well as the rest of their family) as they deal with surgical recoveries, doctor visits and adjust to these changes in their lives.

Beginning Monday, September 20, 2010, Euto Baptist Church will begin a 13-week DivorceCare seminar and support group for people experiencing divorce and separation. The group will meet on Mondays at 7 pm at the church which is located at 6019 Highway 205 in Marshville.
DivorceCare is a video seminar series featuring some of the nation's foremost Christian experts on divorce and recovery topics as seen from a biblical perspective. The video seminars are combined with support group discussion of the materials presented during the video.

The final amount donated to the New Life Church in Munkacs, Ukraine is $16,644. Dr. & Mrs. Harry Poovey traveled to Munkacs, Ukraine to work with this church to bring restoration, hope and healing to a group of Hungarian gypsies.
