|"HOPE FOR HANNA"
Hi, my name is Hannah Moore. I am the daughter of Chad & Tammy Moore of Monroe NC. I was born on October 4, 2007 with a multitude of medical problems, but I am so glad that God allowed me to have life in my body and a wonderful Mom and Dad. I have so many medical problems, I don't even know where to begin, but just to name a few: I am blind, can't stand or sit on my own, have severe acid reflux, curature of the spine, and my feet and legs are trying to grow in the wrong direction. I also have something called scoliosis, and I have these horrific seizures, sometimes as many as 50 or more a day. My doctor's say (and I have quite a few of them) that I have every type seizure there is all rolled into one. My immune system is not good and sometimes I have a really hard time breathing. I have had a lot of surgeries, one of which I think was called a tracheotomy. Well, enough of that stuff. I want to tell you about the good things in my life. God loves me very much and is some day going to give me a brand new body. I'll be able to see all of the beautiful things He has created, see, hear, and run and play. My Mommy and Daddy love me very much. My Daddy says I'm a miracle, and they take very good care of me. They have taken me to a lot of hospitals too, like Chapel Hill, Duke and Wake Forest, just to name a few. The people at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Monroe loves me a lot too, and have put together this letter for me, which is what this is all about. Some of the members there are putting together a fund raiser for me to help my Mom & Dad pay some of my medical bills (and there's lots and lots of them). It's gonig to be a motorcycle ride that will leave from the church at 2528 Stack Road, Monroe NC 28112 on Saturday, September 13, 2014. The ride will carry you into Anson County, on into South Carolina, through Pageland and back to the church, (approx. 70-75 miles) where there will be food, fellowship, fun, entertainment and door prizes too! They also want to have some T-shirts with my name on them for everyone who rides and there will be extra ones for sale for anybody who would like to have one.

Church & Family Connect presents
Building Faith Filled Families Conference
September 19-20, 2014
Lakeview Baptist Church
Today’s families struggle to keep up with the demands of life. School, homework, appointments, technology and practices fill their days. Many parents believe they are inadequate to fulfill God’s mandate to disciple their children. Youth can become apathetic about their faith and large numbers of students are leaving the church in college. Parents may understand the need for faith development in their children’s lives but wonder how and when they can disciple their children when life is so busy.
Pastors and church leaders, join us Friday to learn how to equip and partner with parents in the spiritual development of their children. Parents, join us Saturday to explore why discipleship is so important for your family and learn practical ways to disciple your children.
The deadline to register is September 12, 2014.
Saturday will include Discipling by Age Group break outs in the afternoon. Attendees will choose one of the following break out options:

CHANGE THIS WORLD YOUTH EVENT
The UBA Youth Committee will lead our first UBA “Change This World” food packing event September 27, 2014
. All churches are ask to prayerfully consider supporting this incredible day where our goal is to staff over 350 students and adults at Monroe Mall to package food. The event will begin at 10 am and end at 3:00 pm. We plan to have 6 stations of 12 people working per hour. There will be a training time before your shift to prepare you for the work. Our goal is to package 50,000 meals in 5 hours. To make this happen, our youth committee is contacting churches and business leaders in our community to help us have the students and adults in place, as well as the needed finances. Even if your church is not able to send students or adults, please consider doing a love offering or setting a goal to cover as many meals at .25 cents per meal as possible. It is exciting to think that $10 provides 40 meals and $25 provides 100 meals. This is an incredible opportunity for us to be out in the community doing missions that say we are making a difference and to have the chance to talk with people who are just passing by. We plan to have folks who are just witnessing this way also. We are asking every church in the UBA to be a part of this event. Talk with a youth committee leader and sign up by calling 704.283.8383 and speak with Jean or Bessie. We need firm numbers as this is a big project. If you are a business owner or just someone who would give to support this for our students to be involved in missions, please let the UBA know. Our goal is to have funds secured by Friday September 5th
. To learn more, check out www.changethisworld.com
. Youth leaders, we need your students and support.

Does God exist? How can anyone believe in religion when science has neither a need nor a place for God? Is evolution happening today? If God is a God of love, why do we suffer and die?
Creation Ministries International is coming to your area soon with answers to these important questions. Come and hear Rusty Fulp expose the bankruptcy of the evolutionary myth. You'll be amazed to see how weak the scientific evidence for evolution is.
This is an issue that affects everyone. Evolution teaches us there is no need for God, there is no spiritual realm, and there is no afterlife. According to the theory, spirituality is just an evolutionary trick of the mind! The Bible gives a very differnet picture about the nature of these things. At this presentation, you will learn how the scientific evidence, when properly understood, confirms the details of the biblical account. At the same time, we will answer many of the Big Questions.
Creation Ministries International presents:
