Upcoming Events in our Churches

Benton's Crossroads:  Our BBQ is Back and better than ever.  On Fri. Feb 1st, you can enjoy hot off the grill pork BBQ and all the fixings for lunch or dinner.  For $9 per plate, you will receive a generous portion of BBQ, Beans, Slaw, Bread, Desert, and a drink.  Serving starts at 10 am.  What better way to kick off FOOTBALLS biggest week end.  You can drive through and pick up your BBQ or, if you dine in, you will be provided free entertainment with live gospel music provided by "Southern Express" starting at 7 pm Friday night.   Since the big game is that Sunday, you can even buy for your party a Tailgate Special.  For $40, you will receive enough BBQ, Beans, Slaw, Bread and Desert to easily feed 8 people.  The supply of tailgate specials is limited, so you must call ahead to reserve yours and pick up the day of the BBQ Friday Feb 1st.  If you just want to buy a whole cooked Boston Butt, you can do that as well.  Call the church to place your order before the 1st at 704-753-1291 and reserve your BBQ today.

Music for a Cure, Sat. March 2, 2019, 5 pm. Featuring Southern express, Destination Bluegrass, Slope Valley Band, Hatley Family Band & Flowers Family Band. Tickets $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Proceeds benefit Levine Cancer Center. For more info, call 704-242-2115.

Ebenezer:  Our Student Ministry will sponsor a food drive for "Bookbags of Love" to benefit families at Porter Ridge Elementary during the month of January and will conclude on our Souper Bowl Day of Caring, Sunday, Feb. 2.  For a list of suggested food items from the "Bookbags of Love" list, please contact Sarah Easter at s.easter@meyebenezerbaptist.org or 704-289-2632.  We will also collect monetary donations for the "Feeding Children Everywhere" food-packing event which will be held later in April at our Souper Bowl Day of Caring soup and sandwich lunch on Sunday, Feb. 2.  The Youth Souper Bowl Party will be Sunday, Feb. 2, at 6:00 pm.  Invite your friends to watch the big game on the big screen, enjoy free food, and hear a Gospel presentation from NFL players during half-time!
