Upcoming Events in our Churches

Good Afternoon UBA Pastors,

The Lord placed it upon our hearts to pray for two things recently.

  1) Please God, send us hungry people.

(hungry for His Word, His Spirit, His will to be done)

  2) Please God, help us find hungry people.

(again, hungry for His Word, His Spirit, His will to be done)

We have been so burdened that many of our local area outreach events have netted verbal decisions, audible professions, and even physical baptisms, yet had seen little movement into the fold and then back out into the mission field as disciples! Lord, where are people, inside or outside our church walls, who are hungry for you? An answer to our heart cry was already on the way . . .

In 2016 a young missionary and his bride (Ralph & Xiamen Briones) visited our church from the PI to share their burden for the lost souls of Baliuag, that these people become active disciples who were themselves making disciples. We have supported them since then, and a few weeks ago, we took a small team to Baliuag, Bulacan, the Philippines to help this Baptist mission (not IMB supported) with training and leadership in VBS, "In the Wild." What we experienced was amazing!

We were blown away that this mission was totally run and operated by a strong team of young people! The pastor is 29, his leaders are 14-24, and his congregation is mostly children with a few moms, and recently, some dads. We had over 230 children in an active construction zone, brutally hot, no A/C, yet the youth this pastor had discipled and the children there were smiling, joyous and eager to hear the Word of God!!

God moved in a powerful way and by week's end we had 35 professions of faith in Christ as Lord and Savior, with firm plans to follow up with baptism and active discipleship training!! He's even raising up two more young pastors in this mission! We prayed for God to help us find hungry people, and He delivered!

We are excited to announce that this mission pastor and his wife will soon be in Monroe again to share their amazing young hearts with anyone who will listen. If you have a Sunday morning, evening or Wednesday service and want to bless your people with powerful testimonies from an international mission field (with stories of young souls turning to faith) then please schedule them soon. Their July is already booked solid. We have them at Oakland, Sun AM, Sept 15th. They head back to the PI at the end of September.

Call our office and we can schedule them for you or you can send them an email directly thebriones28@gmail.com . See brochure below for more info.

Thank you and God bless!
