Upcoming Events in our Churches
The building project at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist has been going well but slow. At this point, the trusses, sheathing, and roofing will be starting this Friday and into first part of next week. This will be contracted out. We plan to resume with the rest of the interior framing Thursday of next week. Any and all help is appreciated. In 2-3 weeks the windows will be in and we will install them also. I want to thank those who have helped so far. God will bless you commitment.
To schedule your participation, please call Mark Hinson, UBA Baptist Men Director, 704-698-8795, Pastor Osco Gardin, 704-219-1815 or call EMBC office at 704-283-6342. The church is located at 503 Maurice St. Monroe, NC 28112.
Thank you for supporting what God is doing in our Association!

Pastor’s and Wives Christmas Communion
Thursday, December 7, 2017
Benton’s Cross Roads Baptist Church
109 Lawyers Road East
Monroe, NC 28110
This will be a joint communion with Zion Missionary Baptist Association.
Each year, the UBA provides a Christmas Communion Service and a catered meal for our Pastors and wives.
This year, we will host this event on Thursday evening, December 7, 2017, 6:30-8:30 pm, at Benton’s Cross Roads Baptist Church. We have moved to an evening time to open the door for more Pastors and wives to attend. We will also be extending an invitation to the Pastors and wives of Zion Missionary Baptist Association to be our guests at this year’s Christmas communion.
This service is a worshipful, reverent time of Meditation, Prayer, and the Observance of Our Lord’s Supper. A catered meal will follow in the Family Life Center. Also, we will have gifts for the Pastors and wives.
In order to help us with planning this event, we must request a RSVP by Friday, December 1. This word from you will aid us in our planning and assure adequate preparation for the meal. Please respond by calling the UBA at 704-283-8383, or please email Jean Rollins at email@example.com.
We cordially invite you to join with your fellow Ministers to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and fellowship together during this joyous time of year. May God bless you all, and we look forward to hearing from you.

We had a very successful Construction Skills Training on October 28 at the Red Springs Mission Camp and are making plans to repeat it in 2018 at both Red Springs and Shelby. This is open to adults and students age 13 and above who have an adult present with them. It is a great event for youth groups to learn more about some of the skills we use in Disaster Relief, handyman ministries, and a number of local ministries.
The training will be on February 24 at Shelby Mission and March 24 at Red Springs.
